Make It Right
Shaw Industries is helping the Make It Right Foundation, an organization founded by Brad Pitt, rebuild New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina by donating sustainable ﬂooring in affordable, eco-conscious homes. Shaw has been donating sustainable ﬂooring to multiple Make it Right projects since 2008. From the 150 planned homes in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans to affordable housing in Kansas City, Shaw has supplied Make It Right projects with thousands of yards of carpet and hardwood ﬂooring since their partnership eight years ago.
One percent of all proﬁts from the Homage collection go to Public Architecture’s The 1% program, providing pro bono architecture and design services. Shaw Contract is also a sponsor of Public Architecture’s annual Design Access Summit, which gathers leaders from design, philanthropy, non-proﬁt, and government to discuss and create positive change through the built environment.
Shaw Contract has provided support to UNICEF for earthquake relief efforts in Ya’an, China.
Each year, Shaw Contract awards donations and scholarship funds in the names of award-winning ﬁrms to help local communities and further design education around the world. To date, the Design is...Award winners have donated $98,000 - with more than $70,000 beneﬁting universities and more than $28,000 making a difference for do-good organizations around the world.
Shaw Contract provides support and sponsorship to Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), one of the country’s largest supporters of direct care for people who are living with HIV and AIDS, as well as preventative education for those at risk.
Shaw and Shaw associates support United Way organizations in our local communities, helping to raise more than $2.3 million for the organization.

Shaw Contract supports Free Lunch for Children, an NGO providing meals for underprivileged school children in China.
Panels for Progress
Shaw Industries helped provide sustainable energy to an orphanage in Chiang Rai, Thailand through Panels for Progress, an organization that installs community solar projects in developing countries.
