CRS offices

United Kingdom

description

Office interior design and refurbishment company CRS has offices that are not only used as a showroom but also as a workplace where its employees work daily. For this Ashby-de-la-zouch, UK-based design firm it was important to ensure practicality for the occupants as well as creativity to inspire both employees and customers.

Featuring three Shaw Contract flooring collections, this engaging interior optimises space for a range of different task areas. Through careful planning this has allowed for 30 different options for working, meeting, and collaborating. And using the flooring design, along with partitioning and furniture, five key zones have also been created.

At the entrance, there is a plush sofa against a feature illuminated slat wall that greets you and sets the tone for the office along with an elevated graphic company logo bursting with colour. Here Shaw Contract’s Unite LVT collection in style Inlet, colour Shade was specified, with its light oak look providing a contemporary and practical option.

A four-person meeting area is situated behind the feature slat wall, with partitioning to create a hideaway meeting space, with integrated media. With the Shaw Contract Haven carpet tiles in style Identity, colour Truffle, the area is inviting and has a resi-mercial look. Naturally lit it has a glazed corner section for visibility to see if the space is occupied or not and ensure meetings are not disturbed.

Being a design and build business, there was also a requirement for an area to store fabrics and flooring samples. This space has been designed to be interactive for customers and employees, with a swatch wall to fully visualise sample choices, a laptop bench to work at and a write-on wall for ideas and programme planning.

In the desk area, compact sizes have been used to maximise usage, with a bench desk system that can facilitate six users and a sit-stand for two. In this area, Shaw Contract’s Suited collection in 50 x 100 cm tile style Textile, colour Merino has been installed.

Meanwhile the work cafe comprises multiple elements - a kitchen space, tea point and bistro furniture set against a digitally printed mural backdrop. Here as well the Shaw Contract’s Unite LVT collection in style Inlet, has been specified.

This area also features a high-level collaborative table with connective media and separating the work cafe from the office space is a four-person open pod.
