Art'Otel Amsterdam

The goal of this design project was to create an innovative hotel with a unique fusion of art and lifestyle. Integrating architectural style with art-inspired interiors, Art’Otel Amsterdam features large-scale, dynamic art, viewable from all public spaces and when looking in from outside. Two large silicone cord screens flank the main staircase, creating the largest permanent interactive art feature in Europe. Specially designed with sixteen projectors and kinetic sensors, the installation populates in real-time, allowing people to take part in the art and not just view it. Inspired by city life and street art, designers used concrete flooring and large backlit curtains. In guest rooms and corridors, the custom carpet is a work of art with a manifesto in text accented with pops of coordinating color. The space is an inspiration to guests, a new generation of hospitality experience.
