At Shaw Contract, we hold flooring inventory so that you don’t have to. We stock millions of square feet of carpet tile, broadloom and luxury vinyl tile, enabling projects to stay on time, every time. StrataWorx backing is just one component of our vast inventory system available through the Quick Ship program, which ships up to 2,500 square yards within two weeks or less, with select styles in stock and ready for immediate shipment.

Expedited delivery ensures the design is fast tracked for projects that demand quick turnaround without compromising creativity. StrataWorx carpet tiles are a great option for tenant improvement and short-term lease projects that are price sensitive and require quick flooring solutions to minimize downtime.

From one surface to the next, no transitions required

With a vast product portfolio spanning carpet and hard surface flooring, Shaw Contract serves scaling businesses with solutions to support workplace environments at every level of growth. When your design calls for carpet tile and LVT, pair StrataWorx side-by-side with Quick Ship 2.5 mm LVT with no need for flooring transitions.

Shaw Contract 2.5 mm LVT profile installs together with most StrataWorx carpet tiles for smooth transitions, making multi-use spaces even more user-friendly in commercial environments. Our Shaw 4151 Universal Performance Adhesive simplifies installation by providing a single solution to adhere both LVT and carpet tile.

It’s easy to determine if your flooring can be installed without transitions. First, both products must be installed with full-spread adhesive. The hard surface cannot be higher than the carpet height. The changes in vertical level height of both surfaces must be less than 1/4 inch maximum, based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Finally, the hard- and soft-surface transitions must always meet guidelines of local, state and federal building codes.

Removing transitions ensures one less space for dirt and grime to gather, allowing for cleanliness and longevity of your flooring. A transitionless space also reduces the risk of trip-and-fall hazards by decreasing elevation changes in the floor and eases foot and roller traffic across multiple surfaces.
